Episode 9 recap

Rafael takes a call from Jessica before the ceremony. A flashback shows Edward holding Elaine behind the curtain before she runs to the altar. Elaine and Rafael say their vows, while Jessica delivers a quiet threat with the rings. In the bedroom, Jessica calls Rafael, and Elaine orders him out. Outside, Rafael hands his wedding ring to Edward and drives away. In his car, Rafael laughs and claims Elaine is far too obsessed to stray.

Episode 9 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: A Tense Call Before Vows

    Rafael stands in the hallway outside the dressing room and answers an incoming phone call from Jessica. She asks him what is wrong. Rafael mutters a curse under his breath instead of answering her question properly.

  2. 00:10: Cornered Behind the Dressing Curtain

    In a brief flashback, Edward holds Elaine firmly against the wall behind the curtain. Elaine pulls away and hurries off because the ceremony is starting. Edward watches her go and vows that she will not escape him.

  3. 00:32: Wedding Vows and Hidden Threats

    Elaine and Rafael stand before the priest in the chapel and say their vows. Jessica steps up to hand over the wedding rings. She leans close to Elaine and whispers a veiled threat about a special wedding gift.

  4. 01:22: Interrupted in the Bridal Suite

    Rafael climbs on top of Elaine in their bridal bedroom on their wedding night. Jessica calls his phone right at that moment. Elaine speaks coldly, telling Rafael to leave the room. He climbs off and rushes right out.

  5. 01:55: Handing Over the Ring

    Outside on the mansion driveway, Rafael asks Edward to lend him his car. Rafael pulls his wedding band off his finger and gives it straight to Edward. He tells his brother to enjoy the rest of his evening.

  6. 02:38: Boasting on the Drive Away

    Rafael drives off down the road with Jessica listening on speakerphone. He laughs off her questions about Elaine. Rafael mocks Edward openly and declares that Elaine is far too obsessed with him to ever cheat on him.

Will Edward slip on the ring and take his brother's place in Elaine's bedroom, or will Rafael realize his mistake before the night is over?
