Episode 8 recap

Edward confronts his father Gavin in the study over being sent overseas three years ago. Gavin threatens Elaine's life, but Edward fires back with a deadly warning. In the dressing room, Rafael coldly tells Elaine he will never love her. As Elaine tries to lace her wedding gown behind a curtain, Edward secretly slips in to help her. Then Rafael approaches the booth, suspicious that someone else is inside.

Episode 8 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Confronting Gavin in the Study

    Edward confronts Gavin in the study about sending him overseas three years ago to marry Elaine to Rafael. When Gavin threatens to eliminate Elaine, Edward warns his father that he will lose both of his sons.

  2. 00:45: Rafael Visits the Bridal Room

    Elaine sits in front of the mirror in her bridal dressing room. Rafael walks in and tells her bluntly that he will never care about her. He orders her to finish dressing quickly and leaves the room.

  3. 01:28: Edward Laces the Wedding Gown

    Elaine asks for assistance with the laces on the back of her dress. Edward quietly enters the changing booth and tightens her corset strings. Elaine thanks him, but then Rafael's voice echoes from the hallway outside.

  4. 01:52: Trapped Behind the Changing Curtain

    Rafael walks toward the changing area because he suspects another man is present. Elaine presses herself against Edward behind the fabric to stay hidden. Rafael extends his hand and prepares to yank the curtain open.

Rafael reaches for the dressing room curtain to catch whoever is inside. Elaine and Edward stand frozen together behind the thin cloth, holding their breath in complete silence. Will Rafael pull back the curtain and catch his brother with his bride, or will Edward find an escape route before he is discovered?
