Edward spots Elaine entering the poolside party and recognizes her. Two women confront Elaine and insult her for chasing after Rafael. Elaine tolerates the hostility to secure money for her mother's surgery. As Elaine walks past, a blonde woman shoves her toward the water. Edward rushes forward and catches Elaine around her waist. He looks into her eyes and remembers her saving him three years ago. Rafael watches them and interrupts with a sneer.

Episode 2 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Edward Spots Elaine

    Edward stands on the terrace in his suit. He watches Elaine arrive at the lively pool party. He keeps his eyes on her and realizes to himself that the arriving woman is indeed her.

  2. 00:06: Confrontation by the Pool

    Two women in revealing outfits block Elaine's path and mock her for trailing Rafael. Elaine holds back her anger because she needs her mother's surgery money. She orders them to step aside.

  3. 00:36: A Shove Toward the Water

    The blonde woman secretly shoves Elaine as she tries to pass. Elaine loses her balance and tips toward the pool. Edward reacts immediately and wraps his arm around her waist to stop the fall.

  4. 00:56: Memory of a Rainy Night

    Edward pulls Elaine close and their eyes meet. He remembers being badly wounded in an alley three years ago during a rainstorm. The girl who held an umbrella and saved his life was Elaine.

  5. 01:25: Rafael Interrupts the Embrace

    Rafael sits near the lounge sofas and spots Edward holding Elaine in his arms. Rafael stands up with an arrogant grin. He calls out across the deck to mock the intimate moment between them.
