Episode 4 recap

Susan bathes at home with sore hands and inflamed skin, remembering how she slipped away from Lucian. She texts him that she reached home. Lucian arrives at her apartment shortly after. She serves him water and asks about his poisoning. Lucian invites her out for a meal, but she rejects the offer. Before leaving, Lucian asks about an old key, which she falsely claims is lost. She forbids him from discussing the night before.

Episode 4 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Susan Rests in the Bath

    Susan sits in her bathtub, nursing sore hands and an inflamed thigh after quietly leaving Lucian. Her phone buzzes with a message from him. She types a reply telling him she is back inside her home.

  2. 00:13: Lucian Visits Susan's Apartment

    Lucian knocks on Susan's door, and she invites him into the living room. She hands him a glass of water and questions him about his poisoner. Lucian asks her to join him for dinner, but she uses work as an excuse.

  3. 00:34: A Harsh Boundary at the Door

    At the entryway, Lucian asks about a key he once gave her. Susan claims she lost it years back. When he starts speaking about the previous night, Susan commands him to stay silent. She shuts the door and collapses onto the floor.

How Episode 4 Ends

Lucian steps out into the hallway, and Susan locks the entrance behind him. Overwhelmed with distress, she slides down against the wooden door until she hits the floor. Susan quietly whispers that she hates Shifters. Can their long friendship survive after what happened, or will her hatred drive them completely apart?
