Episode 2 recap

Young Talia defends Ruby against Romney Zephyr, but she collapses with glowing green eyes as her illness worsens. Romney carries Talia away toward Crystal Castle. Peeking through the tent, young Ruby overhears that her curse mark harms her family. She runs into the woods and pleads with the Moon Goddess to take her wolf. Despite learning she will lose all her memories, Ruby agrees to the sacrifice and collapses in the falling snow.

Episode 2 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Romney Confronts Talia

    Romney Zephyr argues with young Talia outside their tent. He says Ruby's mark killed their mother and is now killing Talia. Young Ruby overhears through a hole in the fabric. Talia suddenly faints, and Romney picks her up to leave.

  2. 00:57: Ruby Flees Into the Forest

    Ruby weeps after learning she is hurting her sister. She flees into the woods on her own. This lets Romney take the unconscious Talia back to Crystal Castle for urgent healing without Ruby causing more harm.

  3. 01:17: The Moon Goddess Sacrifice

    Ruby kneels under the full moon and begs the Moon Goddess to remove her wolf. The deity warns the choice will erase Ruby's identity. Ruby accepts, and a glowing white wolf leaves her body before Ruby drops onto the snow.

Moon Goddess · The Moon Goddess speaks from the sky before granting Ruby's desperate plea.

How Episode 2 Ends

The giant white wolf is pulled from Ruby's chest straight into the full moon. Ruby falls unconscious onto the frozen ground as snow drifts around her and her snowflake mark fades away. With her memories and wolf completely gone, who will find the young princess alone in the woods?
