Young Ruby climbs a cliff to pick a Crystalian Chili for her sick sister, Talia. Inside their tent, Ruby makes cinnamon chili tea and gifts Talia handmade gloves. Talia hands Ruby their mother Zara's earring and mentions Ruby's unique snowflake birthmark. When Talia starts coughing, Ruby steps outside for more tea. She spots a wolf turn into their father, Romney Zephyr. Hiding behind a tree, Ruby overhears Romney demand they leave Ruby behind because her curse is killing Talia.

  1. 00:00: Climbing for the Crystalian Chili

    Young Ruby scales a steep cliff inside a deep chasm. She reaches out and plucks a glowing Crystalian Chili from the rock wall. Ruby gathers the ingredient so she can brew a hot remedy for her shivering sister Talia.

  2. 00:46: Sharing Gifts Inside the Tent

    Ruby brews cinnamon tea with the chili and gives hand-sewn gloves to Talia. Talia gives Ruby their mother Zara's earring pendant and talks about Ruby's rare snowflake birthmark. The two sisters unite their wolf spirits and howl together.

  3. 02:41: A Father Arrives in the Woods

    Talia begins coughing violently inside the tent. Ruby hurries outside into the woods to fetch more warm tea. While outside, Ruby spots a wolf approaching the camp. The wolf shifts into Romney Zephyr, and Ruby quickly hides behind a tree.

  4. 03:10: Overhearing the Painful Truth

    Romney steps inside the tent to confront Talia. He says Ruby is cursed and causes Talia's Frozen Heart Syndrome. Romney insists they must abandon Ruby. Outside behind the tree, Ruby listens in horror, realizing she is the one killing Talia.

Young Ruby stands frozen behind the tree in pure disbelief. She looks down at the glowing snowflake birthmark on her arm, devastated by the news that her presence is slowly ending her sister's life. Will Ruby accept Romney's decision to abandon her, or will she try to find another way to save Talia from the freezing curse?
