Episode 10 recap

A soldier reports that beasts are undermining the west wall. Mawson White urges the defense to send Ian White to the front line, plotting to get his nephew crippled. At the wall, soldiers pour burning liquid into a crack. Ian hears the beasts crying that poisoned black robes forced them there. With Little Owl prompting him, Ian channels golden energy into the breach to make the horde retreat. Master Thain senses the pulse and corners Ian.

Episode 10 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Undermining the West Wall

    A soldier warns that burrowing beasts are targeting the city's west wall. Mawson White speaks up and suggests sending his nephew Ian White to the dangerous position. Mawson secretly plots to have Ian crippled there to secure the White family fortune.

  2. 00:45: Fire in the Breach

    Soldiers dump burning liquid into a deep crack to scorch the burrowers below. Standing near the edge, Ian White listens to the beasts shrieking in pain. He hears them say that people in black robes threatened them with poison.

  3. 01:04: Golden Beast Energy

    Urged by Little Owl hidden in his clothes, Ian White steps forward. He places his hand on the glowing wall crack. Ian releases a pulse of golden Beast Speaker energy downward, causing the underground beasts to stop digging and retreat.

  4. 01:33: Sensing the Speech Ripple

    Master Thain detects the distinct ripple of beast speech in the air. He leaps down from the wall and flies straight toward the source. Below him, the city guards shout and cheer as the burrowing monsters abandon the assault.

  5. 01:55: Face to Face

    Master Thain lands among the celebrating soldiers and walks directly over to Ian White. Ian tries to play dumb and act innocent. Thain's eye suddenly shines blue as he confronts Ian and announces he knows his real identity.
