Episode 2 recap

Dinner brings both families together. Charles Cross asks Elena Vale about her confidential work, and she claims she cleans up domestic waste. She catches a falling glass mid-air, then lets it smash. Outside, Adrian Cross and Charles plan to control Elena. Charles grabs Margaret Cross by the collar after she mentions Anna. In the restroom, Mrs. Vale warns Elena against violence. Elena steps into the hallway, where Margaret grabs her hands and begs her not to marry Adrian.

  1. 00:00: Dinner With the Cross Family

    Charles Cross questions Elena about her secret job at dinner. Elena claims she cleans domestic waste as a housekeeper. When a server drops a glass, Elena catches it instantly in mid-air. She then drops it to the floor on purpose.

  2. 01:33: Threats Outside the Restaurant

    Adrian and Charles talk about controlling Elena easily. Margaret begs Adrian not to repeat what he did to Anna. Charles grabs Margaret by her collar and orders her to stay quiet. Margaret leaves for the restroom.

  3. 02:34: Warning in the Restroom

    Inside the restroom, Mrs. Vale reminds Elena about Adrian's young daughter. She tells Elena not to use violence during this assignment. Elena replies that handling violent situations is her actual job. Mrs. Vale then walks out alone.

  4. 03:48: A Desperate Mother Pleads

    Elena walks out of the restroom into the hallway. Margaret runs straight toward her in a panic. She grabs Elena by both wrists and urgently warns her to stay away from Adrian and call off the wedding.
