Episode 10 recap

Elena knocks Martha's husband to the floor and pins two knives beside his head. Martha complains to Adrian about Elena. Margaret Cross tries to calm Charles Cross, but Charles slaps her down. Elena helps Margaret up and confronts Adrian about ignoring his mother's abuse. Adrian defends their household rules and orders Elena to apologize. When Elena refuses, Adrian breaks a wine bottle and aims a punch at her. Elena blocks his fist and attacks him with broken glass.

  1. 00:00: Elena Pins Martha's Husband

    Elena kicks Martha's husband to the floor. She hurls two knives into the ground on both sides of his head. Terrified by the blades, the man wets himself while lying beneath her.

  2. 00:40: Charles Strikes Margaret Down

    Martha complains to Adrian about Elena's violent outburst. Margaret attempts to quiet Charles, but Charles screams at his wife and violently slaps her to the floor in front of the table.

  3. 01:22: Elena Confronts Adrian

    Elena kneels to help Margaret off the floor. She directly confronts Adrian for permitting his father to beat his mother. Adrian rejects her criticism, upholds the family customs, and orders Elena to say sorry.

  4. 02:34: Glass Bottle Standoff

    Adrian issues a final warning to Elena. He smashes a wine bottle and throws a punch at her face. Elena stops his fist, grabs a sharp piece of shattered glass, and charges forward at him.
