The High Priestess brands Lyra unclean and cursed. Lyra looks directly at her and tells her the ceremony drowns girls instead of making them brides. The priestess raises the sacrificial dagger to carry out an execution.
00:30: Shadows in the Mirrors
In the viewing hall, a king and a noblewoman in purple watch the ritual through ceremonial mirrors. The glass glitches violently. Heavy dark mist pours from the central mirror, heralding a divine presence across the water.
00:43: Arrival of the Sea God
The priestess presses the dagger directly against Lyra's throat. A wide rift rips open across the stormy sea behind them. The Sea God steps out of the rift and walks onto the ritual platform.

The priestess insists Lyra belongs to the Crown. The Sea God shatters the pearl bond, tests Lyra's silence, and announces that she answers to neither the Crown nor him at this stage of the ritual.
