Garric Reed trades his eldest daughter, Isla, to save his younger daughter Milly. He shuts the door on Isla as captors arrive in the mist. At the seaside altar, the High Priestess proclaims Isla as the village sacrifice. Isla rejects the ritual claims and states she was betrayed. Guards drag her onto a black-sailed ship. Isla dismisses her father's apologies from the dock. At sea, a giant creature bursts from the waves.

Episode 1 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Garric Surrenders Isla

    Isla comforts her weeping younger sister Milly inside their wooden hut. Garric Reed walks inside holding a bride tag carved with Isla's name. As white mist creeps across the threshold, Garric shuts the door, leaving Isla trapped with her captors.

  2. 00:30: The Altar Under the Bell

    Under a giant bell, the High Priestess reads a scroll dedicating Isla to the sea god. Isla kneels in chains, bruised and defiant. She tells the gathering she was handed over, not chosen, before villagers shove her down.

  3. 00:56: Boarding the Black Ship

    Guards lead Isla onto a black-sailed vessel at the pier. Garric calls out to her from the shore with regret, but Isla dismisses him. The High Priestess commands the ship to sea, sending Isla into the fog.

  4. 01:18: Creature in the Fog

    Isla crawls across the slick deck alone while the vessel cuts through deep water. Her bridal veil falls overboard into the sea. She whispers that she is not a bride as a massive wave and a beast breach beside her.
