Dylan enters the bedroom with a blanket because the weather is cold. Ella hides a framed photo of Bruce and yells at Dylan for not knocking. When Dylan refuses to question her, Ella grabs his shirt collar and waves the picture in his face. Dylan reminds her that he only stays to honor his promise to Charles. Furious, Ella calls Dylan useless and demands a divorce. Dylan walks away.

Episode 8 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Dylan Enters the Bedroom

    Dylan walks into the bedroom carrying a warm blanket. He remembers that Ella has kept him at a distance for five years and just called out another man's name. Ella jumps up wrapped in a bath towel to conceal a picture frame.

  2. 00:15: An Unwanted Extra Blanket

    Ella snaps at Dylan for entering without knocking. Dylan sets the blanket down and apologizes. He explains that he brought the extra cover because of the cold room temperature, then turns around to leave her alone in the room.

  3. 00:27: Confrontation Over Bruce's Photo

    Ella stops Dylan and asks why he does not challenge her. Dylan replies that he has no questions. Ella clutches his collar, thrusts the photo of herself with Bruce into his view, and screams at him for not getting angry.

  4. 00:52: A Demand for Divorce

    Dylan explains that he only made a promise to Charles to protect her. Ella loses her temper completely. She calls Dylan useless, claims he only remains married to her for money and social position, and insists on a divorce.

  5. 01:27: Dylan Steps Into the Hall

    Dylan keeps his thoughts to himself as he leaves. He reflects that Ella ignores everything he did during their marriage, and he knows her wish will happen soon. Behind him in the bedroom, Ella lets Bruce's photo drop to the floor.
