Episode 5 recap

Bruce kneels before Ella Sterling with a diamond ring at the party. Ella hesitates, but the guests urge her on, so she lets Bruce put the jewelry on her finger. When Bruce kicks Dylan Crowley's gift box into a blazing fire pit, Dylan pulls it out with his bare hand. Dylan confronts Bruce, but Ella protects Bruce and orders Dylan away. Dylan walks toward the sea and heals his burned hand with magic.

Episode 5 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Bruce Kneels Before Ella

    Bruce drops to one knee beside the pool with a large diamond ring. He asks Ella Sterling to give him a romantic chance. The other guests watch closely while Ella stares down at him in surprise.

  2. 00:29: Ella Accepts the Diamond Ring

    Ella mentions she is married to Dylan Crowley. Bruce insists the ring is merely a souvenir from Paris. Urged by the surrounding party guests, Ella gives in and allows Bruce to slide the ring onto her finger.

  3. 01:21: The Gift in the Fire Pit

    Bruce introduces himself to Dylan Crowley and immediately kicks Dylan's gift box into an open fire pit. Without hesitation, Dylan plunges his bare hand directly into the roaring flames to pull the box back out.

  4. 01:54: Ella Defends Bruce

    Furious about the attack, Dylan Crowley seizes Bruce by his collar and raises a fist. Ella quickly steps in between them. She takes Bruce's side, scolds Dylan for making a scene, and demands that Dylan leave immediately.

  5. 02:08: Healing by the Sea

    Dylan Crowley walks out onto the mansion lawn overlooking the ocean. He summons glowing blue water magic over his fingers, healing his severe burns instantly. Standing alone in the dark, he decides to depart for good.

Bruce · Bruce says this while kneeling before Ella with an expensive diamond ring.

“I'm sorry. I'm already married. This is my husband, Dylan.”
