In the pouring rain, guards hold Elena down while Leo dangles above snapping crocodiles. Scales flare across the boy's neck as he screams. Seraphina operates the winch and gives a ten-second ultimatum. Elena agrees to take Beatrice's place as the sacrifice. The guards lower Leo, allowing Elena to hold him. Beatrice mocks Elena and slaps her across the face. Elena wipes the blood away and promises retribution before guards escort her away.

Episode 2 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Chained Above the Snapping Crocodiles

    Armored guards pin Elena to the wet stone. Above the pool of crocodiles, Leo dangles from heavy chains in the rain. The terrified boy screams and defends his mother. Black dragon scales briefly erupt across the back of his neck.

  2. 00:20: Seraphina's Ten Second Countdown

    Seraphina takes the winch handle and begins lowering Leo toward the water. She gives Elena ten seconds to step into the sacrificial carriage. Elena screams for her to stop and agrees to go so her child will live.

  3. 00:41: Lowered from the Winch

    Beatrice mocks Elena for taking her death sentence. The guards wind the chains down to release Leo to the ground. Elena rushes forward, pulls her son into a tight hug, and checks his body for injuries in the rain.

  4. 00:57: A Vow of Retribution

    Beatrice strikes Elena across the face for talking back to Seraphina. Blood drips down Elena's cheek. She wipes it away, stands tall, and promises they will answer for their cruelty before Seraphina orders the guards to haul her away.

Beatrice strikes Elena, drawing blood right outside the estate gates. Elena stands firm, wipes her bloody face, and promises that both women will pay for their actions. Seraphina dismisses her threats and orders her dragged off to the carriage. Will Elena survive the journey to the dragon's territory, or will her family succeed in getting rid of her forever?
