Episode 6 recap

Caelan threatens more violence against Aster to force Lyra into serving as a maid during his nuptials. Lyra guides the deer down the aisle while crying over memories of Caelan's earlier promises. At the altar, Caelan declares his marriage to Seraphine and squeezes Lyra's hand until she speaks a blessing. Aster lashes out when Seraphine reaches for him, driving an embarrassed Caelan to demand that Lyra kneel before his bride.

Episode 6 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: A Cruel Wedding Demand

    Caelan enters Lyra's bedchamber and demands that she act as a wedding maid. He orders her to lead Aster down the aisle to convince nobles she is stepping down willingly, threatening more whippings for Aster if she disobeys.

  2. 00:59: Walking Down the Aisle

    Lyra guides Aster along the outdoor path toward the altar. Tears stream down her cheeks as she remembers the day Caelan placed a crown on her head and swore that she would always remain his only bride.

  3. 01:29: Forced Blessing at the Altar

    Caelan announces his wedding to Seraphine and promises to sever his bond with Lyra on the full moon. He crushes Lyra's hand and threatens to kill Aster on the spot unless she smiles and blesses their union.

  4. 02:50: Aster Snaps at Seraphine

    Seraphine attempts to stroke Aster, but the royal animal recoils and snaps at her. Spectating elf nobles openly doubt Seraphine's suitability to be queen. Infuriated by their comments, Caelan tells Lyra to force Aster to bow, then commands Lyra to kneel before Seraphine.
