Outside, Karen pummels a dead tree until his hands bleed, promising vengeance before marching toward the Abyss.

00:00: A False Confession in Bed
Karen confronts Elowen and Loran in the stone bedroom. Elowen claims the child in her belly belongs to Loran. Karen shatters a vase against the floor, promises he will never forget this betrayal, and storms through the doorway.
00:49: Tears Behind the Door
After Karen leaves, Loran places a warm blanket around Elowen by the entrance. Elowen collapses into tears. She admits that she had to make Karen hate her so he would go to the Abyss and survive.
01:19: Vow at the Withered Tree
Karen stops at the withered tree where he once kissed Elowen. He strikes the trunk repeatedly with his bare fists until they bleed. Looking toward the sky vortex, he swears to make Elowen pay if he returns alive as Chief Commissioner.
