Episode 4 recap

Luke exits the museum and loses his invincibility in the rain. Lucifer informs him that a girl with ancient blood is in danger at school. Luke arrives to find Derek cornering Marina in the restroom. After Derek forces Marina to consume a drug, Luke breaks in to save her. Derek shoots Luke, realizing he is mortal outside the domain. Luke flees the scene carrying the unconscious Marina while Derek summons guards to track them down.

Episode 4 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Powers vanish outside domain

    Luke walks out of the museum into the rain. His supernatural strength immediately fades. Lucifer appears and warns Luke that he is now a normal human. He senses that a girl with special blood requires urgent assistance at the school.

  2. 00:53: Derek traps Marina inside

    Derek corners Marina in the school restroom. When she asks for help, her father tells her to submit to Derek over the phone. Derek forces her to swallow a drug and tries to assault her against the bathroom counter.

  3. 02:22: Luke shot by Derek

    Luke enters the room and tries to stop the assault. Derek pretends to give up but pulls a gun and shoots Luke in the arm. Luke grabs the drugged Marina and runs, while Derek realizes Luke is now vulnerable.

“Naturally, kid. You stepped out of my zone. Out here, you're just a squishy, pathetic human punching bag.”

Lucifer · Lucifer explains why Luke is weak immediately after stepping out of the museum.

“Your family sold you to me a long time ago. If I take you right here, they'll just clap for me!”

Derek · Derek threatens Marina as he prepares to force himself on her in the restroom.

“He's bleeding? I knew he was just faking it earlier! He's still a useless piece of trash!”

Derek · Derek realizes Luke is mortal after seeing him bleed from the gunshot wound.

How Episode 4 Ends

Luke manages to escape the school restroom while wounded, carrying the incapacitated Marina in his arms. Derek remains behind, using his walkie-talkie to mobilize the school security guards to hunt them down. As Luke runs through the hallways, he must figure out how to protect himself and the girl without his protective zone. Will Luke be able to reach the museum before the guards catch them?
