Episode 1 recap

Luke chases his school bus while Derek and other classmates mock him. On board, Derek tries to force Luke to clean his shoes, but Marina offers Luke a seat. Later at a museum, a guide explains a relic tied to Lucifer. Derek and his friends corner Luke, beat him with bats, and insult his parents. Luke's spilled blood triggers a glowing pentagram, pulling dark energy into his body. Luke wakes up and knocks Derek away.

Episode 1 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Chasing the School Bus

    Luke runs down the street trying to catch the school bus. Classmates peer through the bus windows alongside Derek. They point and laugh at Luke as he struggles to keep up on foot.

  2. 00:31: Marina Intervenes on the Bus

    Luke gets on the bus and finds every seat blocked. Derek corners him and demands that he kneel to clean his shoes. Marina Kadmon intervenes and tells Luke to sit beside her, which enrages Derek.

  3. 02:21: Tour of Lucifer's Blade

    A guide brings the class before Lucifer's shattered blade. The guide explains that the weapon fell six thousand years ago and the building seals it. The rest of the class walks away, but Luke remains behind.

  4. 03:11: Ambush in the Exhibit Hall

    Derek and his friends corner Luke with baseball bats. They smash Luke against glass displays, and Derek steps on Luke's head. Derek mocks Luke's dead soldier father and his mother, then kicks Luke across the floor.

  5. 04:46: The Pentagram Seal Awakens

    Luke lies bleeding on the museum tiles. His blood drips into grooves in the stone and lights up a red pentagram seal. A dark vortex rises from the floor and forces its way directly into Luke's open mouth.

  6. 05:38: Luke Strikes Back

    Derek grabs Luke by his clothes and raises a baseball bat to hit him again. Luke opens his eyes, which glow bright red. Luke swats Derek with one hand, sending him crashing into a display cabinet.
