Alexander dreams of embracing a veiled woman. He wakes up to a wet stain on his velvet sheet and summons the Royal Doctor. Dancers perform barefoot for Alexander, but they fail to excite him, so he angrily throws a glass. That night, he dreams of the barefoot veiled woman again. To find her, the Royal Doctor proposes holding a kingdom ball for women aged 16 to 23 to let Alexander inspect their feet.
