One week ago, dancers attempt to seduce Alexander in his bedchamber, but he feels nothing and kicks them out. The Royal Doctor examines him and warns that rumors of his impotence endanger his claim to the throne. The doctor provides sleep incense to help him rest. In a hazy dream, a barefoot veiled woman approaches Alexander. He kisses her feet, feels deep passion, and reaches to lift her veil.

    Several dancers perform inside the bedroom to arouse Alexander, but he feels no physical desire. Furious at his lack of reaction, he shouts at the entire group and drives every woman out of his chamber.

  2. 00:32: The Royal Doctor Gives Counsel

    The Royal Doctor examines Alexander and confirms his body is healthy. He warns Alexander that rumors of impotence will ruin his royal succession. The doctor suggests he has not found the right match, then lights sleep incense for him.

  3. 00:56: Dream of the Veiled Woman

    Alexander falls asleep and encounters a veiled barefoot woman in a hazy dream. He fixes his gaze on her bare feet, gently caressing and kissing them. He feels sudden arousal and embraces her with intense passion.
