Episode 6 recap

Kai crawls into Elara's bed wearing his dinosaur onesie, and she reads him a fairy tale until he falls asleep holding her nightgown. At breakfast, Sebastian learns about this from his attendant and offers Elara a large monthly raise. Elara recalls her past marriage with Derek, where she worked without pay before being discarded. Refusing the bonus, Elara says Kai is easy to love, and the boy tearfully takes her hand.

Episode 6 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Bedtime Story in the Bedroom

    Kai crawls into Elara's bed dressed in his dinosaur onesie. Elara reads him a fairy tale from a book. The young boy slowly falls asleep beside her while holding tightly onto her nightgown.

  2. 00:09: Breakfast at Drakos Manor

    During breakfast in the dining room, Arian whispers to Sebastian about Kai spending the night with Elara. Pleased by the report, Sebastian offers Elara a fifty thousand dollar monthly pay bump on top of her salary.

  3. 00:24: Flashback to the Vance Family

    Elara remembers her past marriage to Derek. She served his family continuously as an unpaid maid while a fox woman dismissed her presence. Afterwards, Derek cast her out with nothing at the divorce office.

  4. 00:52: Declining the Pay Raise

    Elara turns down the raise, telling Sebastian that Kai is a sweet boy and bedtime stories are simple. Kai walks over to the dining table with tears in his eyes and quietly holds Elara's hand.
