Summary
After Divorce, I Became the Panther Prince's XXL Bunny Wife is a fantasy romance built on the classic contract marriage and glow-up tropes, made for fans who love watching an underappreciated heroine find real family.
The story leans into familiar short-drama machinery. A scorned ex-wife leaves an abusive marriage penniless, finds an ad on the street, and immediately gets hired by an intimidating nobleman. Here, the hero is a cold black panther prince who needs someone to reach his traumatized cub, Kai. Instead of forcing physical proximity or bedroom drama right away, the plot runs on slow domestic healing. Elara wins over the hostile cub through patience and toy games, which convinces Sebastian that she is genuine.
What makes this hook work is the clear contrast between Elara's past and present. Flashbacks show her fox ex-husband Derek treating her like an unpaid servant and dismissing her pain. At Drakos Manor, every bit of basic kindness she shows the young cub gets rewarded with genuine respect, cash stipends, and protection. Watching the guarded child slowly soften and climb into her bed in dinosaur pajamas delivers a steady emotional payoff.
The turning point comes when Sebastian marches off with his wolf legion, leaving Elara to care for Kai. Their daily routines of swimming and playing kick off her transformation naturally. When Sebastian returns from battle to find both his son healed and his contract wife transformed, the dynamic completely flips. After Divorce, I Became the Panther Prince's XXL Bunny Wife: Recap by Episode
EP 1: A Midnight Proposal
Sebastian summons Elara to the lounge at Drakos Manor. Elara nervously tugs her nightgown over her stomach. She admits her fox ex-husband cast her out for her weight and country roots after using her as an unpaid maid. Sebastian scoffs at the ex-husband's cowardice. He explains that young Kai was traumatized by a wild crocodile attack and needs a real mother, then proposes marriage on the spot.
EP 2: The Officer Rabbit Trick
Elara tries to feed vegetable mash to Kai in the dining room. Terrified and suspicious, the cub hides under the table and screams that she is a bad lady trying to steal his father. Elara notices his Officer Rabbit toys scattered on the carpet. She sits on the floor and feeds the toys first, gently coaxing a tearful Kai to take a small bite.
EP 3: The Forbidden Third Floor
Kai eats his vegetable mash while Sebastian watches quietly from the couch. Later, butler Arian shows Elara to her second-floor room. He warns her that the third floor is strictly forbidden and trespassing women get thrown out the window. Elara promises to avoid the stairs. Moments after she changes into a nightgown, Sebastian calls down, ordering her upstairs to speak with him.
EP 4: The Manor Arrival
A flashback reveals Derek throwing Elara onto the street penniless. She spots a flyer seeking a stepmother and arrives at Drakos Manor in the rain. Butler Orion warns her not to pursue Sebastian romantically. As they walk down the hall, a gunshot rings out from Sebastian handling business. In the dining room, Sebastian fails to feed Kai and hands the bowl straight to Elara.
EP 5: Terms of the Contract
Sebastian lays out the rules of their arrangement. The marriage is strictly on paper, requiring separate lives, zero physical contact, and a monthly stipend of 100,000 gold coins. Elara accepts. Three days later, they sign the documents before Orion, and Sebastian presents a diamond ring for Kai's sake. Late that night, Kai appears at her door in dinosaur pajamas asking for a bedtime story.
EP 6: Bedtime Stories and Declining Cash
Kai falls asleep in Elara's bed holding her nightgown. Pleased with the progress, Sebastian offers Elara an extra fifty thousand a month at breakfast. Remembering how Derek's family exploited her labor, Elara declines the raise, insisting Kai is naturally sweet and reading to him is no burden. Kai approaches the table with tears in his eyes and quietly takes her hand.
EP 7: Leaving the Manor Gates
Sebastian insists on the raise because Elara genuinely cares for Kai, unlike past suitors. War breaks out in Animus City, and Sebastian departs with his wolf legion. While swimming and playing sports with Kai, Elara trims down and transforms. When she needs to visit a doctor, the house staff fears Kai will panic, but the boy climbs into the car to accompany her.
EP 8: The Clinic Surprise
At the clinic, the doctor notes Elara's depression is lifting. Kai gives her a candy to ease her pain and promises to grow strong enough to protect her, sparking memories of Derek's cruelty. Outside, Sebastian stands beside a luxury car smoking a cigar after returning from the front. Seeing Elara's radiant, slim transformation, Sebastian drops his cigar in utter disbelief.
