Elara Cottontail signs divorce papers after her ex-husband Derek casts her out onto the street. Homeless and broke, she finds an advertisement seeking a stepmother. She travels to Drakos Manor in the pouring rain. The capybara butler, Orion, cautions her against pursuing Prince Sebastian. While walking through the estate, Elara hears a gunshot and spots Sebastian standing over a body. Inside the dining room, Sebastian fails to feed his cub Kai and passes the food bowl to Elara.

    Derek casts Elara out, forcing her to sign divorce papers in a flashback. Stranded without shelter in the city slums, Elara discovers a printed flyer. The posting offers room and board for a qualified stepmother, giving her a sudden opportunity.

  2. 00:23: Arrival at Drakos Manor

    Elara walks up to Drakos Manor during a heavy rainstorm. Orion, the capybara butler, greets her at the gate. He strictly orders her to stay professional and makes it clear she must never try to pursue Sebastian Drakos romantically.

  3. 01:05: A Gunshot in the Hallway

    Orion escorts Elara inside the mansion when a sudden gunshot echoes down the hall. Elara glances through a cracked doorway and spots Sebastian standing over a fallen body. Orion brushes off the sight as everyday business for the household.

  4. 01:19: Testing the New Applicant

    In the dining room, Sebastian Drakos tries and fails to feed vegetables to his defiant cub Kai. Orion introduces Elara to the prince. After hearing her name, Sebastian promptly thrusts the bowl of food directly into her hands.
