Episode 8 recap

Elena kneels down and slaps herself three times so Chloe will let her dying father leave. Chloe steps on her cheek before walking away. While helpers load her father into a car, Elena texts Cole's rival, offering marriage if he bankrupts Cole in three days. At the hospital, her father recovers and asks her to stay with Cole. Elena refuses. Cole then calls, withholding money for medical bills and mocking her father's condition.

Episode 8 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Elena Kneels Before Chloe

    Elena's father is in critical condition on the ground. Elena kneels down and slaps her own face three times to meet Chloe's demand. Chloe steps on Elena's cheek with her shoe. She then smugly allows them to leave for medical help.

  2. 00:19: A Text to Cole's Rival

    Helpers carry Elena's father into a car. Elena watches Cole embrace Chloe without any remorse. She sends a message to Cole's rival, agreeing to marry him if he bankrupts Cole in three days. Cole's rival immediately responds with "Gladly."

  3. 00:48: Elena Promises Her Father

    Elena's father wakes up in a hospital bed out of danger. He tells Elena not to destroy her relationship with Cole on his account. Elena stands firm and tells her father that she will not marry Cole, but the wedding will still happen.

  4. 01:17: Cole Calls the Hospital

    Cole calls Elena from his lounge. He announces Chloe will control his money and refuses to cover the hospital bills. Elena announces their breakup and mentions legal action. Cole mocks her, claiming she staged her father's illness to force him to marry her.
