Episode 2 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Gunfire on the Beach

Leah fires her energy gun on the Jade Island beach and accidentally cuts Thalanis across the cheek. Thalanis notices his own blood in complete shock. He turns around and plunges into the water, leaving Leah both relieved and apologetic.

  2. 00:31: Filing the Merfolk Log

Inside her yacht cabin at night, Leah types an entry into her Merfolk Observer Log. She records that Thalanis has a 2.5-meter tail length. Because this measurement exceeds the local average, she notes that he belongs to a foreign subspecies.

  3. 00:50: Tracking Thalanis Underwater

With mating season starting in three days, Leah designates Thalanis as her primary research target. She launches a robotic fish drone from the deck. Watching her monitor, she finds him resting on a rock until his glowing eyes open and he swims closer.

How Episode 2 Ends

The robotic fish camera hovers near the sea floor while Thalanis circles around it to investigate. Watching from her yacht monitor, Leah grows anxious as the siren stares directly into the mechanical device. Will Thalanis figure out the artificial fish is a drone tracking him, or will he destroy Leah's equipment before she can continue her study?
