1. 00:00: Standoff on the Frozen Wasteland

Astrid leans against Ragnar's warm chest while facing an approaching unit of armored cavalry. Grim leads the hostile riders toward them across the snow. Astrid looks back at the commander and proclaims that hell rejected her and cast her out.

2. 00:07: Grim Orders a Brutal Attack

Grim points toward Astrid, shouting that Eric was right about her wicked nature. He brands her a heretic and an unclean whore. Grim then commands his knights to charge forward and butcher Astrid and Ragnar into pieces of dog meat.

3. 00:23: Ragnar Prepares His Axe

Hearing Grim insult Astrid, Ragnar demands to know what the commander called her. He lifts his heavy battle-axe in fury. Astrid whispers for him to tear their foes apart, and Ragnar roars a fierce challenge back at the advancing knights.

4. 00:46: Clashing With the Royal Cavalry

Ragnar charges directly into the oncoming cavalry. Using his superhuman physical strength, he knocks riders from their saddles and shatters their formation. Meanwhile, Grim shouts orders across the battlefield, trying to coordinate his remaining knights to surround the northern chief.

5. 01:14: Astrid Casts Her Red Spell

Astrid grips her chest and quietly whispers that she has him. She opens her eyes, and they shine with bright red light. Across the snowy battlefield, Grim gasps in alarm as the exact same crimson spell ignites inside his own eyes.

How Episode 8 Ends

The episode ends with Grim paralyzed in place as crimson magic burns inside his pupils. Astrid's sorcery holds the cavalry commander completely still right in the middle of battle. Will Grim turn his weapons against his own knights under Astrid's control, or can Eric's soldiers snap their commander out of the spell before Ragnar kills them all?
