Ragnar walks up to Astrid on the frozen ceremonial platform with his bloody battleaxe. He taunts her and presses the cold blade to her neck. Astrid does not flinch and activates her glowing red eyes. She peers directly into his mind and exposes his royal lineage. Then she proposes an alliance to seize the throne together. Before Ragnar can take her extended hand, a sudden ice curse breaks out across her body and freezes her limbs.

Episode 6 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Blade at the Neck

    Ragnar carries his blood-stained battleaxe across the ceremonial platform. He confronts Astrid and mocks her as a succubus. Then he steps close and presses the heavy metal blade straight against her throat while waiting for her reaction.

  2. 00:23: Reading the Warlord's Mind

    Astrid stands still under the axe without flinching. Her eyes glow red as she reads Ragnar's inner thoughts. She states out loud that he is the late king's exiled bastard son who wants to destroy the hypocrites in the capital.

  3. 01:05: The Frozen Bargain

    Astrid proposes a pact to help Ragnar take the crown. She offers to serve as his brain if he becomes her blade. She reaches out her hand, but a sudden ice curse erupts over her limbs and freezes her body.

“I've already died once.”
