Episode 8 Scene by Scene

1. 00:00: Emily Smashes the Sacred Urn

Alaric pins Selena back as Emily smashes the urn on the floor. Selena's parents' ashes scatter across the room. Emily slaps Selena across the face, chokes her, and reminds her that a wolfless Omega stays a servant forever.

2. 00:39: Vera Tramples the Broken Ashes

Vera steps on the scattered ashes on the floor. She wipes her dirty boot directly against Selena's pregnant belly. Instead of stopping Vera, Damon looks at Selena coldly and tells his wife she needs to behave like a real Luna.

3. 01:21: Emily Destroys the Remains

Selena begs Emily to stop, but Emily conjures a glowing water orb. Damon ignores Selena's cries and refuses to step in. Emily hurls the magic orb directly into the pile of ashes, instantly turning the sacred dust into thick mud.

4. 01:42: Selena Crawls Through the Mud

Selena crawls through the sludge in total grief. She looks up at the family and warns them they will all regret this. Alaric steps over to Selena and forces her face right down into the wet, muddy ashes.

5. 02:08: Vera Discovers the Royal Portrait

Vera spots a broken picture frame resting among the ruined mud. She lifts the photograph and studies the faces. Vera announces to the room that the image portrays the Lycan King and Queen, leaving Damon and Emily completely frozen.
