Inside the car, Nolan plans to punish Mara when she returns, while Mara's spirit watches him from outside the glass. Flashbacks show Mara surrounded by the love of Reid, Nolan, and her parents before Tessa joined the household and took everything. In the clinic, Reid and Nolan dote on Tessa. Three days later, Elise brings news of a dead pregnant werewolf found at the forest boundary. Reid coldly tells Elise to handle the corpse.

Episode 4 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Threats in the Night

    Nolan rides in the car on a dark mountain road and promises to teach Mara a lesson once she comes back. Outside the car window, Mara's spirit watches him quietly, knowing she is dead and will never return home.

  2. 00:13: Memories of Past Devotion

    Mara recalls memories of her family home and a scenic ridge. Her parents, Nolan, and Reid once gave her all their love. Everything shifted after her parents took Tessa in, and Tessa slowly displaced Mara in every relationship.

  3. 00:43: Comforting Tessa at the Clinic

    At the clinic, Reid brushes Tessa's hair and feeds her soup while Nolan stays beside her. When Tessa complains about having nightmares, Reid promises to keep her safe from harm. Mara's ghost observes the scene without making a sound.

  4. 01:19: A Report from the Border

    Three days later, Elise enters Tessa's room carrying a folder. She tells Reid that border patrol found a dead pregnant werewolf near the forest. Reid refuses to look up from Tessa and directs Elise to contact forensics herself.

Elise holds out the file and begs Reid to at least look at the photo of the deceased pregnant werewolf. She begins to tell him who the dead woman actually is before her sentence cuts short. Will Reid glance down at the picture in Elise's hands, or will he continue to focus entirely on Tessa?
