Episode 2 recap

At the base of the cliff, the rogue leader kicks pregnant Mara repeatedly. Mara begs for her unborn pup, but he kicks her into a rock, killing them both. Mara's soul leaves her body. After realizing she is dead, the rogues call Reid demanding five million dollars. Reid starts to agree, but Tessa claims Mara staged the kidnapping for attention. Reid tells the rogues to do whatever they want with Mara as her spirit watches.

Episode 2 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Mara Dies Against the Rocks

    The rogue leader repeatedly kicks Mara in her pregnant belly. Mara begs him to spare her life and her unborn pup. Instead, he kicks her hard into a rock. Mara and her baby die instantly, and her soul rises above her body.

  2. 00:35: Rogues Demand a Massive Ransom

    A young rogue inspects Mara's neck and panics after finding no pulse. He confirms that the Luna and her baby are dead. The rogue leader decides to call Alpha Reid anyway and demands five million dollars for her safe return.

  3. 01:07: Reid Abandons Mara by Phone

    Reid answers the call and agrees to send the money. Tessa stops him, claiming Mara staged the ambush to gain sympathy. Reid believes Tessa and tells the rogue captors to do whatever they want with Mara. Mara's ghost watches Reid walk away.

How Episode 2 Ends

Reid dismisses the ransom demand and orders the rogues to do whatever they want with Mara, convinced she staged her own kidnapping. Mara's ghost stands right beside him, completely helpless as Reid abandons her corpse in the forest. How long will Reid remain blind to Tessa's manipulation while his true mate lingers as a dead spirit?
