Right after his wedding, Lu Chen faces insult after insult from his new in-laws. Lin Wanqing's mother demands he settle a 288,000-yuan banquet bill, then abandons him to ride in Song Hao's luxury car. Outside the venue, Lu Chen accepts his grandfather's call to reclaim his heir status in three days. At home, Lu Chen cooks dinner, only to find Song Hao wearing his pajamas and Lin Wanqing ordering him to let Song Hao warm their marriage bed.

  1. 00:00: A Slap and a Rainy Vow

    Mother Lin demands another man warm the bed on the wedding night. When Lu Chen refuses, Father Lin slaps him, and Lin Wanqing tells him to be generous. Lu Chen walks into the rain and calls Grandpa Lu to rejoin the family.

  2. 00:30: Abandoned at the Banquet Hall

    Mother Lin commands Lu Chen to pay 288,000 yuan for her side of the wedding feast. Song Hao drives up in a Mercedes. The entire Lin family mocks Lu Chen's cheap Jetta and drives away in Song Hao's car.

  3. 01:37: Grandpa Lu Demands the Truth

    Grandpa Lu calls Lu Chen outside the hotel. He insists Lu Chen stop hiding his identity and step forward as the Lu family heir at the foundation event in three days. Lu Chen listens and agrees to do it.

  4. 02:02: Song Hao in the Master Bedroom

    Lu Chen cooks dinner in an apron for the family. The Lin parents emerge alongside Lin Wanqing and Song Hao, who has showered and wears Lu Chen's sleepwear. Lin Wanqing claims custom requires Song Hao to warm their bed tonight.

How Episode 1 Ends
