Sloan Vitale explains that New York society labeled her unmarriageable because of her independent nature. Her stepmother signs an agreement selling her to the widowed mob boss Dominic Moretti. Outside the church, her stepmother fakes tears and shoves Sloan out of the car. Sloan meets Dominic's children, Mia and Leo, on the steps and promises to protect them. In a bright red gown, Sloan marches down the aisle and announces herself to Dominic.

  1. 00:00: Sold to the Widowed Don

    Sloan narrates her upbringing in New York, where people considered her fiercely independent and impossible to marry off. Her stepmother signs a formal agreement that sells Sloan into marriage with the widowed Don, Dominic Moretti.

  2. 00:08: Evicted at the Church Doors

    A car stops outside the church. Sloan's stepmother pretends to weep over losing her stepdaughter. Her fake sadness drops immediately as she violently shoves Sloan out the vehicle door onto the street to get rid of her.

  3. 00:25: Meeting Mia and Leo

    Dressed in a red gown, Sloan approaches the church steps. Little Mia Moretti tugs at her dress and asks if Sloan is her mother. Sloan notices Mia's fear alongside Leo's distrustful stare, so she promises to protect both children.

  4. 01:02: Arrival at the Altar

    Church guests whisper and gossip among themselves about the missing bride. Sloan suddenly enters and strides down the center aisle in her red dress. She walks straight up to Dominic, who asks who she is, and declares her name.
