Episode 2 recap

Principal Harold enters the testing hall demanding to know who caused the massive resonance. A silver-haired student credits Derek, and Harold praises him. Leo tries moving a green mech, but only twitches its finger. Derek and the students mock him. Chloe walks in, cleans Leo's face, and scolds Derek. Desperate to prove himself to Chloe, Leo touches the testing crystal again. The mech stays still, but a sudden light appears.

Episode 2 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Harold Praises the Wrong Cadet

    Principal Harold rushes into the room asking who synced with the mechs. A silver-haired female student points to Derek and claims he caused the resonance. Harold accepts the claim immediately and praises Derek for the incredible achievement.

  2. 00:26: A Twitching Mech Finger

    Leo remains beside the testing crystal, convinced the mechs reacted to his touch. He tries commanding a green mech and manages to make its finger twitch. Derek and the surrounding academy cadets burst into laughter and mock him.

  3. 00:56: Chloe Steps in to Help

    Chloe enters the testing hall and ignores Derek completely. She walks straight over to Leo and gently cleans his face. Turning toward Derek, Chloe confronts him directly and scolds him for pouring filthy water on Leo and humiliating him.

  4. 01:30: A Second Attempt on the Crystal

    Leo touches the crystal again, desperate to show Chloe his power. He commands the mech to move, but it stays motionless. The crowd laughs at his failure, but a bright flare of light suddenly begins to glow behind him.

Harold · Harold demands an answer after rushing into the testing hall following the resonance.

“See that? A-rank! You can't even control the lowest D-rank. I think you'd better go back to cleaning toilets!”

Derek · Derek mocks Leo after Leo only manages to make a mech's finger twitch.

“Was this you again?! You drenched him in filthy water and humiliated him in front of everyone. When are you going to stop?”

Chloe · Chloe scolds Derek after arriving and finding Leo covered in dirty water.

“I'm not pretending! Chloe, I really awakened! Believe me. I'll show you. Just let me try again!”

Leo · Leo begs Chloe to believe him before touching the testing crystal again.

How Episode 2 Ends

The crowd mocks Leo relentlessly when the mech remains unmoving on his second try. Just as Leo starts doubting his own connection to the machines, a sudden bright flare of light surrounds him from behind. Did Leo trigger an even stronger awakening, or is something else producing the blinding glow?
