Episode 3 recap

Mariana wakes up in bed, pulls out her IV, and walks into the hallway despite intense head pain. In his study, Romano shoots a traitor in the head and tells his assistant to clean up. Mariana opens the door and stumbles into Romano's arms. She spots a lightning mark on his hand and recalls a wounded boy promising marriage. Mariana hugs Romano, calls him her husband, and kisses the mark.

  1. 00:00: Mariana Leaves Her Bed

    Mariana wakes up alone in bed and fights through severe head pain. She pulls the IV needle straight out of her arm. Leaving the empty bedroom behind, she steps out into the hallway to search the mansion.

  2. 00:26: Romano Executes a Traitor

    Inside his study, Romano fires a gunshot directly into the head of a kneeling traitor. He places his handgun onto a silver tray held by an assistant. Romano orders his men to clean the room and check the traitor's contacts.

  3. 00:49: Mariana Sees the Mark

    Mariana opens the study door and stumbles forward. Romano catches her in his arms before she falls. He examines her injured leg, and Mariana looks down at his hand. She spots a distinct, lightning-shaped mark on his skin.

  4. 01:09: Flashback to the Alleyway

    In a childhood memory, young Mariana drags a bleeding boy through an alley to safety. The boy makes a promise to marry her when they grow up. He points out a lightning-shaped birthmark on his hand so she will know him.

  5. 01:58: A Kiss on the Hand

    Back in the study, Mariana throws her arms around Romano and calls him her husband. Romano asks her to look at him and name who he is. Instead of giving another answer, Mariana kisses the mark on his hand.
