Episode 5 recap

Sasha warns a bedridden Scarlett that her magic is depleted and casting another spell could kill her. As Sasha escorts Scarlett away, Carlos intercepts them and drags Scarlett to Raven's bedside. Despite Sasha's warnings, Carlos demands Scarlett cure Raven's dark magic wound. Scarlett drains her remaining power, turning her hair silvery-white to heal her rival. After walking out numb, Scarlett tells Sasha she wants to go home and collapses unconscious in the hallway.

Episode 5 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Sasha's Urgent Warning

    Sasha delivers herbal medicine to a weakened Scarlett in bed. She cautions that any use of magic could end Scarlett's life. Scarlett agrees to stay cautious and asks Sasha to escort her safely back to the temple.

  2. 00:25: Intercepted in the Palace Corridor

    Sasha supports Scarlett as they walk through the palace corridor. Carlos rushes toward them. Scarlett briefly hopes he is concerned for her, but Carlos immediately seizes her arm and drags her along to treat Raven's lingering injury.

  3. 00:46: Healing Raven at Great Cost

    In Raven's chamber, Carlos commands Scarlett to fix Raven's injury. Carlos dismisses Sasha's desperate protests and calls Scarlett selfish. Scarlett gives in and expels her life force. Her hair turns pure white, and she leaves while Carlos embraces Raven.

  4. 02:03: Scarlett Collapses Outside

    Sasha asks why Scarlett never revealed her condition to Carlos. Scarlett answers that speaking up would only cause humiliation. Admitting she feels entirely numb and wants to return home, Scarlett falls unconscious right into Sasha's waiting arms.

After sacrificing her remaining energy to save Raven, Scarlett's hair turns silvery-white and her emotions go completely numb. She whispers to Sasha that she wants to go home, then loses consciousness on the stone corridor floor. Will Carlos notice the severe toll his demands took on Scarlett, or will he remain completely absorbed in caring for Raven?
