At dawn, Beryl packs her botanical specimens and research notes into a suitcase. Downstairs, Jasper spills cereal and orders Beryl to cook for him, but she refuses. Cayden arrives with Sharon and tells Jasper to respect Beryl. That night, Jasper sneaks into Beryl's bedroom and pours corrosive acid onto her arm and chest. Cayden carries Beryl to the hospital. When she wakes up, she announces she will press criminal charges against Sharon.

    Early in the morning, Beryl Thorne places her lab notes and botanical specimens inside a suitcase. She recognizes Cayden has never truly loved her. Wanting to walk away from the marriage, she continues gathering her personal work.

  2. 00:39: Breakfast Confrontation with Jasper

    Jasper dumps his cereal onto the table and demands that Beryl prepare his morning meal. Beryl stands firm and tells him no. She states that she is not his maid and will never serve him food again.

  3. 01:35: Cayden Arrives with Sharon

    Cayden walks into the house with Sharon. Jasper throws a tantrum and lies, claiming Beryl mistreated him. Cayden orders his son to treat Beryl with respect because she is his wife. Beryl turns around and exits the room.

    Jasper creeps into Beryl's dark bedroom with a glass of corrosive acid. He throws the chemical across her arm and chest. Hearing her screams, Cayden rushes in and lifts her up. Jasper confesses Sharon gave him the liquid.

    A doctor tends to Beryl's severe chemical burns at the hospital. Beryl opens her eyes and finds Cayden sitting beside her bed. She directly informs him that she intends to file criminal charges against Sharon for the attack.
