   Eva gets dressed in her hunter academy uniform inside her quarters. She picks up an ancient tome from her desk and steps out the door to make her way to class.

2. 00:08: A Strange Pulse in the Hallway

   Eva walks down the crowded corridor and brushes past Damien. Her sensitive hearing picks up an impossibly slow pulse from his chest. She tells herself to keep quiet so nobody calls her a freak.

3. 00:28: The Professor Tests Eva

   Inside the classroom, the professor explains that vampire hearts beat only twelve times per minute. He singles out Eva as an admitted Sensitive and demands that she track down the slowest pulse among the students.

4. 01:08: Concealing Damien's Pulse

   Eva focuses her hearing and zeroes in on Damien, who tightens his fists in silence. She lies and claims there are too many pulses to separate. The professor reprimands her and commands her to stay behind.
