Violet returns to her bedroom to examine a tactical map and a dossier concerning Dodolo de la Orange. In an earlier life, Dodolo executed her with flames to keep Seraphina safe. In the present, Violet drafts a dispatch requesting an assessment of Seraphina's light magic tomorrow morning. A footman then hands Violet an incoming note requesting a meeting at that exact location. She promptly tears the paper apart.
