Freya tries to force Leo to leave the tribe for his own safety as the Black Mountain Tribe arrives. Magnus, the enemy chief, demands the Storm Dragon King and orders his red dragon to kill Leo. Unexpectedly, Lars’s timid dragon, Orson, leaps in to block the lethal fireball. Lars is stunned as his dragon finally shows bravery and protects the boy.
