Chloe performs onstage before a packed crowd while lip-syncing. Backstage in a control booth, Ella Quinn sings every note live. Ella explains that Kyle Sterling, her husband of three years by arranged marriage, loves Chloe instead of her. When the performance concludes, Kyle walks up and hands Chloe red roses. Ella enters the hall and overhears guests insulting her weight and her family. Enraged, Ella grabs a male guest by his collar.

    Ella spots Kyle sitting in the audience holding a bouquet of red roses. She notes their three-year marriage came from family ties and Kyle loves Chloe. Once the song ends, Kyle walks onstage and presents the flowers to Chloe.

  3. 01:09: Confrontation in the Banquet Hall

    Guests whisper about the Quinn family bankruptcy and Ella's looks. A male guest loudly calls Ella a fat pig who could lift an adult man. Ella walks out, hears the remark, and grabs the man by his shirt collar.
