Episode 2 recap

Athena enters the divine throne room to confront Zeus. She brushes off his greeting and asks where Hercules is held. Zeus refuses to answer and says Hercules broke divine law. Ares arrives, calls Hercules a mortal half-breed, and knocks down a goddess who intervenes. Ares attacks Athena with his sword, but she slams him down and plants her boot on his head. After releasing him, Athena demands answers from Zeus once more.

Episode 2 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Athena Demands Answers from Zeus

    Athena drops down in front of Zeus as he sits on his throne. Zeus gives her a fatherly welcome, but she ignores his words. She bluntly asks him where Hercules has been taken.

  2. 00:36: Ares Joins the Argument

    Zeus tells Athena that Hercules broke divine law and that the matter does not concern her. Ares walks in right after. He insults Hercules, calling him a mortal half-breed in front of everyone.

  3. 01:02: Ares Strikes Their Sister

    Athena ignores Ares completely and continues questioning Zeus. Ares threatens to cool her head himself. A goddess steps between them to intervene, but Ares lashes out and strikes her down onto the floor.

  4. 01:27: Athena Overpowers Ares

    Ares pulls out his sword and leaps straight toward Athena to attack. Athena reacts instantly. She drives Ares face-first into the hard stone floor, stands over him, and crushes his head under her foot.

  5. 01:54: A Final Demand to Zeus

    The sister pleads with Athena to compose herself. Athena removes her foot from Ares's head and lets him go. She turns toward Zeus on his throne to ask where Hercules is one final time.
