Liam breaks a pipe inside the room to fill the space with smoke as police arrive. He guides Chloe out through a window onto the fire escape. They dash through the alleys together. Chloe runs barefoot, cutting her feet on the rough stones. Liam hands money to local kids who tell him to hurry. In a hidden alley, Chloe notices his chest scar. Liam then hoists Chloe onto his back and keeps moving.

Episode 3 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Smoke Screen in the Room

    Two police officers burst into the room. Liam tells Chloe to step back and smashes a pipe. A thick screen of smoke fills the air, disorienting the officers so they cannot see where the pair is going.

  2. 00:12: Escape Through the Window

    Liam grabs Chloe Vanderbilt and pulls her out through the open window. They climb out onto the metal fire escape together. With the police trapped behind the smoke, they scramble down the structure and run into the street.

  3. 00:16: Flight Through the Streets

    Liam and Chloe sprint through city alleyways to evade the police. Chloe has no shoes on her feet. The hard, broken ground cuts into her soles as she struggles to keep up, leaving blood on the stones.

  4. 00:24: Passing the Neighborhood Children

    The pair rushes past a small group of poor children on the street. Liam stops briefly and hands them cash. The kids recognize him immediately, calling him Uncle Liam and urging him to keep running from the police.

  5. 00:34: Hiding in the Narrow Alley

    Liam pulls Chloe into a tight, narrow passage to hide. While catching their breath, Chloe spots a scar on Liam's bare chest. She asks about it, but Liam cuts her off before she can learn anything more.

  6. 00:58: Carrying Chloe to Safety

    Liam looks down and sees that Chloe cannot walk any farther on her injured feet. He kneels down, lifts her onto his back, and carries her out of the alley to continue their flight through the city streets.
