Camille pulls herself onto a drifting wooden boat. Water immediately gushes through a cracked deck plank. Remembering advice from her father, she seals the hole using cloth and tar. She then throws a heavy chest of stones overboard to lighten the vessel. Inside another crate, she finds firewood and a canteen of fresh water. She carefully rations every drop.
