Damien and Sophia arrive at the ballroom together. Nearby guests mock Sophia's weight, so Damien squeezes her hand and tells her to keep smiling. His assistant, Anna White, walks over and exchanges tense words with Sophia. When Anna reaches out to adjust Damien's necktie, Sophia stops her and takes over. Having never tied one before, Sophia pulls the knot too hard and chokes Damien.

Episode 7 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Ballroom Arrival Whispers

    Damien walks into the crowded ballroom with Sophia on his arm. Guests immediately stare and start talking about Sophia's body. One male guest points them out and says it is hard to believe Damien chose to marry her.

  2. 00:13: Damien Enforces a Smile

    Damien grips Sophia's hand tightly and orders her to smile for the crowd. He tells her people will always see what they want to see, and reminds her that being Mrs. Thornton is the only thing that matters right now.

  3. 00:29: Anna White Steps In

    Damien's assistant, Anna White, approaches the couple. Sophia addresses Anna politely, acknowledging her family's status and thanking her for helping Damien. Anna smiles back coolly and answers with sharp, polite remarks while Damien watches them both in silence.

  4. 01:29: Taking Over the Necktie

    Anna reaches toward Damien to straighten his necktie. Sophia immediately grabs Anna's hand, pulls it away, and steps between them. Anna steps back and yields to the wife, while Sophia announces that she has never adjusted a tie before.

  5. 02:04: An Accidental Choking

    Sophia grabs Damien's tie and tries to adjust the knot. Her clumsy hands pull the fabric far too hard, cutting off Damien's breath. Damien gasps as the collar tightens against his throat, leaving both of them wide-eyed with shock.
