Key Lines from Episode 5

“What would the King of Spain say if you struck his only daughter?”

Paul · Paul says this while catching Queen Mother Margaret's hand to stop her striking Bea.

“This impudent foreigner had the gall to talk back to me!”

Queen Mother Margaret · Margaret shouts this at Paul to explain why she tried to hit Bea.

“Before we go in, I must warn you about my brother. He is not worthy of someone as beautiful and intelligent as you. His intentions are not pure.”

Paul · Paul whispers this warning to Bea right outside the closed chapel doors.

“He tried to save me. He just couldn't risk defying his brother, for fear of execution. Not that I would have listened. Now I will.”

Princess Bea · Bea thinks this to herself after Paul warns her about Charles's true motives.
