Episode 5 recap

The young warrior mocks Zeus in the courtyard before a monumental fountain. Dark clouds gather, bat monsters swarm into the city, and the sorcerer Kyron arrives floating in the air. The terrified elder attempts to appease Kyron with animals and prisoners. When Zeus speaks against bargaining with flesh-eaters, the nobles mock him as a weakling. Kyron rejects the offer and selects Elpis as his meal. Zeus steps forward and summons a crackling golden thunderbolt spear.

Episode 5 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Mockery at the Fountain

    In the courtyard before the monumental fountain, the young warrior sneers at Zeus. He ridicules Zeus for implying that he wields divine strength, laughing directly in his face while the surrounding crowd watches.

  2. 00:12: Kyron Invades the Courtyard

    Dark storm clouds suddenly cover the sky above the city gate. Swarms of flying bat monsters pour into the streets, while Kyron, the Dark Sorcerer, appears hovering in midair above the panic-stricken citizens.

  3. 00:26: The Elder Offers a Deal

    The young warrior panics after identifying the dark sorcerer. His father, an older nobleman in a blue robe, pleads with Kyron. He offers livestock and captives to the invader in exchange for sparing the city's inhabitants.

  4. 00:57: Insulting the Powerless Husband

    Zeus warns them against making deals with flesh-eating monsters. The nobleman and his son immediately turn on Zeus, shouting him down and insulting him as an utterly useless weakling with no authority to speak.

  5. 01:06: Kyron Targets Elpis

    Kyron laughs at the nobleman's bribe, calling the captives simple food for his bats. He extends a hand toward Elpis, announcing to the entire courtyard that he plans to butcher and consume her personally.

  6. 01:24: Zeus Manifests the Lightning

    Zeus walks ahead of the group, announcing that nobody will lay a hand on Elpis. He conjures a crackling spear of golden lightning in his bare palm, leaving Elpis and the elder frozen in shock.

Elpis and the blue-robed elder stare at him in disbelief. Can Zeus defeat the sorcerer Kyron and his bat horde without exposing his true Olympian identity to the entire city?
