1. 00:00: Battle in Outer Space

   Frostfang confronts Lightning in space and demands the Star Core. Lightning refuses to surrender it. Frostfang slashes the Defender Scout with a heavy strike. Lightning falls from orbit and crashes deep into a desert canyon on Earth with the core.

2. 00:40: Betrayal at the Desert Campsite

   Eighty years later, Jack Riley brings beer to an RV trailer. He walks in and finds Edith Lake cheating on him with his teammate Frank. Frank punches Jack in the face and tells him his racing glory days are officially finished.

3. 01:55: Sabotage on the Desert Track

   Jack leads the desert race ahead of Frank. Frank contacts the team control room and orders the technician to disable Jack's car. The technician remotely disables the brakes. Jack smashes through the guardrail and plummets off the cliff.

4. 02:22: Awakening in the Canyon

   Jack lies badly injured inside the burning car. The impact awakens Lightning and the Star Core beneath the canyon rubble. Lightning activates his systems, fixes his damaged body, and pulls Jack free just before the vehicle explodes into flames.

Lightning pulls an injured Jack Riley out of the wreckage seconds before the car bursts into flames. Jack survives the violent canyon crash, but his racing career is in pieces and Frank believes he is dead. Will Lightning team up with Jack to help him get back on the track and seek payback?
