Their glowing bond snaps into pieces, and lightning hits Elara, throwing her onto the ground. The spectators shout that she is cursed and markless. She falls unconscious in the falling rain. Meanwhile, a jealous noblewoman watches Elara on the cobblestones and orders her warrior to assassinate Elara once she reaches the woods.
