Pretending Innocent to Lure: Recap by Episode

1. EP 1: The Scalpel

Olivia Hayes finishes a D&C surgery on her stepsister and learns the father was her own fiancé. Severe acute stress forces her out of hospital practice. Memories of her mother's death and her father's beatings resurface. Olivia conceals a scalpel and heads toward Paige's room. Meanwhile, Alexander Whitmore arrives at the hospital demanding Dr. Hayes. Olivia watches her fiancé feed soup to Paige, and her desire for vengeance takes over.

2. EP 2: Seducing Alexander

Olivia visits Paige's room to deliver instructions. Ethan corners Olivia in the corridor. He demands she cancel their wedding so he can marry Paige instead. Alexander steps in and orders Ethan away. Olivia realizes Alexander is Mrs. Whitmer's son. She leads him into her office under the pretense of a prescription. Behind a screen, she changes into a white gown and kisses him boldly.

3. EP 3: The Game Begins

Olivia breaks the kiss and claims she misread Alexander. She walks out of the office. Alexander pursues her to the stairs and carries her in his arms while Paige watches from a window. They share an intimate encounter on a hospital bed. Later, Alexander asks for her phone number. Olivia refuses because asking ruins the thrill. She leaves the bed to keep him wanting more.

4. EP 4: The Counter-Trap

Olivia returns home to face her father's fury over staying out all night. She claims she treated an emergency delivery, and Dean Wilson verifies her excuse by phone. Paige tries to expose her, but Olivia receives a blackmail text. Paige snatches the phone to reveal the message to everyone. Instead of evidence against Olivia, breaking news flashes on the screen detailing a scandal about the Hayes heir.

5. EP 5: Locked Away

Mr. Hayes erupts after seeing the public scandal. Olivia pretends she attempted to bribe the press. Her act directs her father's anger squarely onto Paige. Paige accuses Olivia of hiring paparazzi, but nobody believes her. Mr. Hayes orders the maids to lock Paige in her room. Olivia watches with satisfaction. She recalls the dark rooms Paige locked her in during childhood. Then, Alexander sends Olivia a message online.

6. EP 6: Caught on Camera

Alexander spots Olivia outside a cafe and follows her into her apartment. He takes her phone to accept his friend request and spots a photographer outside her window. Olivia realizes someone is watching and seizes the moment. She pulls Alexander into a passionate kiss in front of the glass. The private photographer snaps the intimate scene and sends the proof directly to Mrs. Hayes.

7. EP 7: Wedding Eve

Olivia reminds Alexander of her upcoming wedding and walks away from his embrace. In the dressing room, Paige taunts Olivia about having a secret lover. Olivia snaps back and asks if Paige lost sleep over her wedding to Jason. Paige vows the ceremony will not happen. Meanwhile, at Whitmore Group, Alexander receives an envelope containing private photos and a flash drive. He smiles, intrigued by the contents.

8. EP 8: Balcony Surprise

Olivia walks down the aisle to marry Ethan. Paige prepares to play an intimate clip to brand Olivia a cheater. Instead, the screen displays Paige and Ethan together in bed. Alexander stands on the balcony and tosses photos of the affair onto the crowd below. The guests erupt in disgust. Richard scolds his wife. Alexander looks down at Olivia and whispers his surprise.

9. EP 9: The Shield

Paige attacks Olivia in fury after the ceremony falls apart. Olivia falls, but Alexander catches her and carries her away from the hall. They visit Olivia's mother's grave in the rain. Alexander promises to act as her shield, whether she acts good or shows her true colors. He asks only for a chance to pursue her once her revenge ends. Olivia smiles and accepts.

10. EP 10: The Slap

Paige and her mother defend Paige's relationship with Ethan Miller to her father. Paige tries to shift the blame. She claims Olivia cheated first and ruined the ceremony. Olivia acts like an innocent victim in tears. Paige hands her father a phone with supposed video proof of Olivia's betrayal. The father watches, calls Paige a wretch, and slaps Paige across the face.

11. EP 11: Sudden News

Mr. Hayes confronts Paige and Vivian after discovering video evidence of them shifting family assets overseas. Paige attacks Olivia and chokes her in anger. Mr. Hayes intervenes to pull them apart. He accidentally shoves Vivian, who hits her head on a doorframe. Vivian collapses unconscious. Dr. Bennett examines her and announces that Mrs. Hayes is two months pregnant. Mr. Hayes rejoices over having a son. Olivia stares in shock.

12. EP 12: The Secret Lover

Dr. Bennett warns that Vivian needs rest to protect the pregnancy. Mr. Hayes orders Olivia to organize a party to celebrate the unborn son. During the lawn gathering, a young man disguised as a waiter approaches Olivia. He reveals that her father's assistant, Daniel, is secretly Vivian's lover. Olivia looks across the garden. She realizes the baby might belong to Daniel instead of her father.
