Summary
My Crush Has Always Been Me is a campus romance short drama built around the brother's best friend trope and mutual pining. Viewers who love hidden crushes, intense jealousy, and protective hero moments will find plenty to enjoy here.
The drama centers on Kai, who has secretly loved his older brother's childhood friend Ethan for five years. Kai even set his phone passcode to Ethan's birthday. After following Ethan to an elite university, Kai tries hard to hide his feelings. That plan falls apart almost immediately. Ethan does not keep his distance. Instead, he catches Kai around the waist in a crowded hallway, corners him against the wall, and teases him about being jealous. Every small touch sends Kai into a panic.
The turning point comes from a classic accidental phone swap. Both boys carry identical phones. Kai accidentally grabs Ethan's device after dropping his own during a tense hallway conversation. When Ethan later spots the forgotten phone at the campus swimming pool, he enters his own birthday. The phone unlocks instantly. Ethan realizes Kai has kept him as his passcode all along. A poolside plunge and a quiet interrogation in the locker room push their feelings into the open.
The story balances sweet pining with sharp danger. After Ethan coldly rejects campus queen Leah in front of an entire crowd, she refuses to walk away. She spots the way Ethan looks at Kai and targets him out of spite. Leah hires a club member named Jasper to spike Kai's drink at Gray Goose Lounge and take compromising photos. That scheme pushes the story from sweet romance to high stakes.
Fans who search to watch My Crush Has Always Been Me online will appreciate how fast every twist lands. The tension never drags between the awkward hallway glances and the rescue scene. You can follow Kai and Ethan's story through My Crush Has Always Been Me full episodes right here.

Ethan coldly rejects Leah in front of the crowd. Kai watches nearby and smiles to himself. Ethan notices and corners Kai against the hallway wall. He teases Kai, asking if he felt jealous of Leah. EP 3: The Swapped Phones
Leah notices the unique way Ethan looks at Kai and heads to the campus pool. Back in the dorm, Kai realizes he accidentally swapped phones with Ethan during their morning run-in. He calls Ethan and rushes to the pool to get his device back.
EP 4: The Poolside Plunge
Ethan finds the phone on a bench by the pool. He enters his own birthday and is stunned when the screen unlocks. Kai rushes in, begging him to lock the device. Ethan corners him and demands to know why he is panicking. Kai steps backward, slips on the wet tiles, and falls into the deep water. Ethan immediately dives in to rescue him, pulling Kai into a close chest-to-chest embrace.
EP 5: Locker Room Confrontation
Ethan pulls Kai out of the pool onto the deck. Leah tries to divert Ethan's attention by jumping into the water and faking a leg cramp. Ethan completely ignores her and carries Kai away in his arms. In the locker room, Ethan gently dries Kai's wet face. He kneels beside him and directly asks why Kai's phone passcode is set to his birthday.
EP 6: Leah Makes a Call
Kai tries to lie about the passcode, claiming it is his brother's birthday. Ethan quickly reminds him that his brother was born in December. Ethan backs off for the moment and pretends he misremembered. Meanwhile, a soaked and furious Leah stands by the pool. She calls a club member named Jasper, offering him money to trap Kai and take compromising photos that will ruin his life.
EP 7: The Spiked Drink
Jasper calls Kai to invite him to a club gathering at Gray Goose Lounge. Ethan warns him about the sudden invite, but Kai goes anyway to make a good impression. Jasper and his two companions corner Kai on the sofa.

When Kai's roommate mentions Jasper, Ethan immediately suspects danger and races to the lounge.
EP 9: Ethan Breaks Through
Jasper's thugs hold the weakened Kai down. When Jasper demands that he cooperate, Kai strikes him across the face.
